Can Christmas charity be toxic for both the giver and receiver?
Christmas and the holiday season present many opportunities for local churches to engage their community, especially those who are in financial need. Beginning with the principles introduced through the Toxic Charity conference, this gathering will focus on ways to shift holiday ministries towards more meaningful community building.
Executive Director of Think Tank Inc. Marlo Fox will facilitate table discussion on transitioning from a traditional Christmas giveaways to building relationships with your underresourced neighbors.
Marlo co-founded Think Tank in 2006, with the purpose of equipping and facilitating collaboration among people and organizations seeking ways to promote greater connectedness and a more thriving community.
