Event Information
About this Event
Towne Street Theatre (TST) brings back it’s In Response play festival with live streamed performances. In Response, company’s most popular annual event, addresses up-to-the-minute cultural changes and challenges through the power of theatre performance. The name and theme of this year’s In Response is Surviving 2020. The online show does not shy away from controversy in its short plays that range from the deeply serious to the delightfully comedic. It approaches racism and its consequences by connecting historical context with the present moment. Audiences will leave reflecting on the chain of systemic racism in the United States, and the pitfalls and possibilities of our current time in history.
