Event Information
Town Hall: Proposed Legislation For A More Inclusive Food Industry
Oakstop, Oakland, CA
Event Description
Purpose
On Wednesday, April 20th we will discuss the current state of California legislative initiatives to expand opportunities for small, home-based food businesses. After a few opening remarks from the event hosts (The Sustainable Economies Law Center and Josephine), the floor will be open to anyone who cares about our food system (cooks, consumers, regulators, public health advocates). We hope for a thoughtful dialogue about both the opportunities and risks of expanding legally permissible food micro-enterprises and welcome all perspectives.
