IEEE Coastal Los Angeles Section (CLAS) Professional Activities Committee for Engineers (PACE) is holding a town hall and wants YOU to attend.

This town hall meeting is designed to get a better understanding of what members and potential members value and expect from a professional society like ours.

We understand that values and expectations change as technology, economic and social conditions change ever more rapidly, and the future of our society depends on our ability to quickly adapt.

Please join PACE in providing local real-time feedback so that CLAS can continue providing high value services and products to both members and non-members in the area.

Please come ready to share your thoughts and ideas. We look forward to meeting with you!!




We will be asking for your honest opinion and feedback from questions below:

IEEE-USA Specific Questions:

  1. What are the three things that IEEE should do or do better to make your membership more valuable?
  2. What are the three things that IEEE should do or do better that would make you want to become a member?
  3. What aspects or issues in your professional career should IEEE be actively addressing?

Coastal Los Angeles Section Specific Questions:

  1. What do you expect your Chapter or Section to provide?
  2. What (frequency, time, location, content) would make you want to attend Chapter/Section meetings?




What is PACE?

IEEE Coastal Los Angeles Section (CLAS) Professional Activities Committee for Engineers (PACE), promotes the professional interests of IEEE’s U.S. members and provides a mechanism for communication of members’ views on their professional needs. Activities include Technical Training courses, Workshops on career issues (networking, career planning, career transitions, personal financial planning); skill training workshops (entrepreneurship, effective speaking, technical writing), and Government Policy as it affects Engineering and Technology.
