This town hall forum features presentations and a conversation with local experts about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The experiences of childhood impact our health, behavior, and overall well-being in adulthood - for better or worse. ACEs are negative or traumatic experiences that may have effects decades later including chronic disease, heart disease, mental illness, substance abuse, and violent behavior. ACEs impact how we parent our children and their likelihood of acquiring their own ACEs.
Be part of the discussion to better understand ACEs and contribute to our community's efforts to strengthen families and reduce ACEs in Shasta County adults and children.
