Description

In celebration of the month of Francophonie, the Smithsonians National Museum of African Art (NMAfA) is pleased to, once again, offer their popular guided tours in French.

Tours will be offered by NMAfA docents, Candace LaRocca and Theresa Steverlynck each of whom spent more than 15 years living or working in Africa!

The tours will include Highlights of the museums permanent collection including the most recently installed exhibition: Visionary: Viewpoints on African Art. Participants in the tour are assured a diverse group of works and historical time periods!

These tours are free but registration is mandatory.

  • Thursday, March 1st: 12:00PM – 1:30PM

  • Sunday, March 4th: 1:00PM – 2:30PM

  • Thursday, March 8th: 12:00PM – 1:30PM

  • Sunday, March 11th: 1:00PM – 2:30PM

  • Thursday, March 15th, 12:00PM – 1:30PM

  • Sunday, March 18th: 1:00PM – 2:30PM


Your guide will meet you at the Reception Desk on the Ground Level.
