20 April 2017: Pre-Marketplace Seminar
SHARE: The Benefits of Borrowing, 1.30 – 4.30pm
TEG recognises the important two-way opportunity to share objects and expertise that partnerships between national and regional organisations create and the benefit gained from sharing and reflecting on these experiences.
This seminar is the launch event for TEG's new year-long training and mentoring programme Preparing to Borrow. It is conceived to support the Arts Council England Ready to Borrow capital grants, up-skilling regional organisations to make an application to borrow.
To encourage and support this type of partnership work this seminar will present recent case studies exploring the benefits and approaches to borrowing from nationals and other large organisations. It will share learning and provide an opportunity for you to pose your own questions to a panel of speakers from national and regional organisations. The event will also provide the opportunity to network and share experiences with other colleagues in the sector.
Speakers at the seminar will include representatives from Arts Council England, Durham University, Poole Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum with others to be announced.
SHARE: The 5 minute share, 5.00-6.00pm
The seminar will close with an opportunity for delegates to share information about their latest and upcoming touring exhibition, loan or partnership projects, to pose questions, ask for input or to find partners.
Evening Drinks Reception 6.30-8.00pm
