Tour of Coastal Roots Farm
Sun, June 11, 2017, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM PDT
Join us for an in depth farm tour led by a Coastal Roots’ farmer! Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our production methods and the innovative technology we use as you enjoy a gentle walk through the ever evolving, beautiful and diverse vegetable, herb and flower gardens.
The tour lasts approximately one and a half hours and will focus on the production vegetable gardens, the edible labyrinth and a special meeting with our beloved chickens. We will also explore the vineyard, food forest, composting operation, and conclude at our pay-what-you-can Farm Stand.
Please wear closed toed shoes and weather appropriate attire (hat, sunblock and water recommended). Tour registration is required. As always, children must be accompanied by an adult and no pets will be permitted on the property.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Please enter at 441 Saxony and park in the lower parking lot. We'll begin the tour at the Farm Stand.
Why are you charging for the tour now?
We are hoping that with a small fee, the monthly farm tour can be a significant support for our daily farm operations, our food donation programming, and some of our free, educational programs. Coastal Roots Farm is committed to remaining accessible for all, therefore we have the option to pay a $10 fee or register for a free ticket. If you have any concerns about the fee, please don't hesitate to reach out directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you do not.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, if you can no longer attend the tour feel free to share your ticket.
