Tour de Troit 2012
Event Information
Description
The 11th Annual Tour de Troit, set for September 15, is a bike ride that explores some of the city’s historic areas, takes in many of its most breathtaking sights, and provides bicyclists a unique opportunity to legally “take over” the streets of Motown. Last year’s ride attracted 4,400 riders!
This event can and will sell out -- a necessary precaution to ensure the safety of all riders, as well as a good time! Please note the following pricing schedule:
May 1 to June 30 - $35/$30 (student) w/t-shirt
July 1 to August 31 - $40/$35 w/t-shirt
Sept. 1 to Sept. 10 - $50/45 w/t-shirt
ONSITE (if available) $65 w/t-shirt (size not guaranteed)
The Tour de Troit is offering riders two options. The first — and primary — will be a leisurely ride of 25-ish miles with police escort and road closures. The second option is intended for extremely experienced cyclists. It is a metric century (62 miles) that will not include police escort. Both rides will be sweeper- and SAG-supported.
The main ride will take off at 9 a.m. - the metric century will take off an hour earlier at 8 a.m. Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. There will be advance packet pick-up; details TBA to all registrants.
After the ride, there is food, drink and music at Roosevelt Park in the shadow of the Michigan Central Station!
Please take a moment to confirm your ticket purchase as registration is non-refundable. If you buy a ticket you cannot use or want to change in any way, it is your responsibility to make any transfer, not the organizer's.
