Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This is a family friendly event, youth riders aged 12-18 are welcome with adult supervision on the 10 or 25 mile route. Please, no more than 4 youth riders per adult supervisor.

What are my parking options at the event?

Parking will be at Plantersville Elementary School, where the ride will start and end.

What type of bike should I bring to the Ride?

This is a Ride not a Race, we encourage you to relax and take your time along the route to enjoy the views and historical sites. Helmets are Required. The entire road section of the route is paved, however if you would like to ride your bikes through the plantations, we recommend a hybrid bike or bike with wider tires rather than a road specific bike. The plantation roads have gravel driveways.

I don't have a bike, can I still participate?

Riders on the 12 mile route only are able to rent bicycles from Cyclopedia of Pawleys Island. These are single speed beach cruiser bikes. Cyclopedia will bring the bikes and helmets to the start of the Tour de Plantersville. The bicycles MUST be PRE-ORDERED from Cyclopedia by calling 843-235-6500. If you rent a bicycle please plan to be at the TdP at least a half hour earlier than the start time in order to secure and fit the bicycle.
