Tour de Frida !

Arkansas Latinas en Bici presents the Tour de Frida – a public art inspired cycling event celebrating the life and death of artist Frida Kahlo and the Northwest Arkansas Latinx community.

This event is OPEN TO ALL. Join members of the nonprofit organization, Arkansas Latinas en Bici for experiencing Fayetteville’s extensive paved trail network, its bicycle-friendly streets in addition to:

-Bike Route: more details to come

1 -Route - 5 ml Ride

2- Route / 13 Ml to Around Lake Fayetteville and back.

3- Route/19 Ml to Shiloh Square and back.

4-Route/ 37Ml to The First Baptist and back

BIKE WITH US & EXPERIENCE ART:

Once finished the ride we will continue the festivities with food, drinks, family-friendly outdoor setting.

Packet pick-up Saturday July 30 at Gulley Park from 6:30 pm to 9pm; located at 1850 Township Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703.

ABOUT FRIDA KHALO:

A prominent Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo was a surrealist known for her many self-portraits and works inspired by Mexico. Inspired by the country's popular culture, she employed a folk art style to explore questions of identity, gender, class, and race in Mexican society.

Tour de Frida! ABOUT LATINAS EN BICI:

As a nonprofit, Latinas en Bici has a mission to encourage ALL women in the Northwest Arkansas community to enjoy cycling as a form of recreation and exercise, while welcoming all cyclists to join them for bicycle group rides and other events throughout the year. Proceeds from the Tour de Frida will benefit Arkansas Latinas en Bici's free programs and services in Northwest Arkansas.

Una vez terminado, continuar las festividades con la comida, las bebidas, en un ambiente divertido y familiar al aire libre.

Acerca de Frida, Destacada pintora mexicana, Frida Kahlo fue una surrealista conocida por sus numerosos autorretratos y obras inspiradas en México. Inspirada por la cultura popular del país, empleó un estilo de arte popular para explorar cuestiones de identidad, género, clase y raza en la sociedad mexicana.

Como organización sin fines de lucro, Latinas en Bici tiene la misión de animar a todas las mujeres de la comunidad del noroeste de Arkansas a disfrutar del ciclismo como forma de recreación y ejercicio, a la vez que da la bienvenida a todos los ciclistas para que se unan a ellos en paseos en grupo en bicicleta y otros eventos durante todo el año.

La recaudación

del Tour de Frida beneficiará a los programas y servicios Gratuitos de Arkansas Latinas en Bici en el noroeste de Arkansas.

Puede recoger su paquete de inscripción el sábado 30 de julio en el Parque Gulley de 6:30 pm a 9:00 pm; localizado en 1850 Township Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
