"JFP-UN-10 - For the first time in Jazz history a single musical event plays a prominent role in World history!”, Rick DellaRatta and Jazz for Peace return to Nairobi, Kenya to perform a special event for You and I Kenya as part of our 10th Anniversary Concert Series.  Go to www.ljjm.biz for complete JFP-UN-10 presentation.

Nairobi, Kenya – On Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 6:00PM Singer / Pianist / Composer Rick DellaRatta, considered by many to be one of the finest Jazz Artists performing today, will return to Nairobi to perform a special Benefit Concert for You and I Kenya at the Carnivore Simba Saloon located on Lang’ata Road, adjacent to Wilson Airport and Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi, Kenya.

YOU and I KENYA is a registered not for profit organization in Kenya. The organization's office is situated in Kitengela in the outskirts of Nairobi and currently working in the three districts/counties of Kajiado, Narok and Trans Mara. The target beneficiaries of the program are the Maasai pastoral communities, one of the marginalized indigenous community in Kenya and whose livelihoods revolve around livestock. Having performed with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie to Paquito D' Rivera, Rick DellaRatta is now considered by many to be one of the finest Singer/Pianists performing today and one of only a handful of Jazz Artists who can make a successful musical presentation to a large audience without having to abandon the true art form of Jazz.
