Since the summer camp in Clarksville was great fun and a huge success, we've decided to host a winter futsal clinic during the winter break. This will be a fun opportunity for the players to get TONS of extra ball touches during the off season. This is also a great time to finish up some last minute Christmas shopping completed while the kids are at the training session.
The camp topics will emphasize ball control, short 1,2 touch passing, proper futsal technique and creative attacking play.
The sessions will be game-based and match-like.
U9 - U12's will have 2 hour sessions in the evenings (4 - 6 pm) Monday - Thursday (Dec 19 - 22)
U13 - U18's will have 2 hour sessions in the evenings (6 - 8 pm) Monday - Thursday (Dec 19 - 22)
What is futsal?
Futsal is the indoor version of soccer. The game is usually played 5-aside, and with a smaller, less bouncy soccer ball.
Why play futsal?
First and foremost, it is very fun and very popular among kids. The game is very popular in places like Brazil as well, who are well known for their superior ball skills.
Additionally, futsal is a great way to develop better ball control, and it trains players to think and play at a faster pace. This training can transition to better vision, more 1-2 touch passing, and can increase individual 11v11 performance as well.
Cancellation prior to clinic date:
$50 reinbursement fee
No reimbursements will be given if:
1) Player is absent without vaild reason (Eg Dr's Note) within 48 hours of camp start.
2) Player becomes ill or injured during the camp.
* Clinic time may be adjusted in case of bad weather, if not cancelled.
- There will be a $10 late registration fee if player registers on start date (Dec 19).
