"Tools You Need" Night

Join us Wednesday October 24, for the next lacpug Meet.

It will be Tools You Need To See, and once you see them, will want them Night.

Very happy to present the Los Angeles debut of the brand new just shipping Plug-in, mO2 from MotionVFX. mO2 is a revolutionary 3D rendering engine for Motion 5 and Final Cut Pro X. This plugin brings 3D motion graphics directly to your timeline.

Also we welcome the LA debut of Cinema Grade from Color Grading Central. Cinema Grade is a FULL viewer grading application that creates a NEW grading experience in Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve & Final Cut Pro X.

Also we welcome Audionamix who will show off the brand new Instant Dilogue Cleaner. IDC works by separating and preserving speech by reducing background interference without compromising the integrity of the dialogue.

Also the worldwide Sneak Peek of PixelTools: A Creative Toolkit in DaVinci Resolve.

Join Gurus Patrick Southern, Jason Bowdach, and TBA as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning Resolve and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.

7:20PM - 7:45PM - IDC - Audionamix tools. - Scott Esterson
Scott Esterson of Audionamix will show us the following. All are tools you need.

  • INSTANT AUDIO CLEANER:
    This is a plug in that can remove the noise behind dialog. IDC can remove constantly evolving noise such as car/truck drive byes, wind as well as hums, buzzes clicks and pops. You simply turn down the noise.
  • XTRAX STEMS V2: This standalone program can take a mono or stereo track and split it in 3 stems: Vocal, Drums and Other Instruments. You can rebalance a song or export a solo of the drums or vocals.
  • TRAX PRO SP: Standalone program to isolate and extract a vocal and melody.
  • INSTANT VOCAL ISO This is a plugin that Duck vocals within songs without affecting the remaining music. Also it removes headphone and live band bleed from vocal recordings

Scott Esterson originally started doing live sound with George Benson, The Motels and Air Supply. After quitting the road Scott worked for pro audio companies such as Lexicon, Tascam, DTS, Genelec and currently Audionamix. .
7:50PM - 8:20PM - Working the Image: An Introduction to Color Grading Central’s CinemaGrade - Jason Bowdach

In this presentation, Jason will introduce you to Color Grading Central's brand new plug-in, CinemaGrade. By walking you step-by-step through the workflow on an actual timeline, Jason will illustrate why CinemaGrade is radically different from most other color tools available on the market and what that means for you, as professionals filmmakers and storytellers. He will discuss strategies for color balancing, shot matching, and look management, all without relying on traditional color tools like curves and color wheels.


About Jason Bowdach
Jason Bowdach, C.S.I. is a professional colorist, finishing artist, and post production engineer based in Los Angeles, CA. Jason’s color and finishing work spans the gamut from traditional commercial projects for clients such as Adobe, LensCrafters, and Google, independent short and feature films bound for festivals, all the way to experimental new mediums such as immersive VR. He is the lead post production engineer for the broadcast network The Africa Channel, a Blackmagic Design certified trainer, and a full member of the Colorist Society International.

t change your life. Edit5 Consoles will be in lobby showing off Editing tables and chairs. Get to the Gallery early for this show. Snack bar may be be open for sodas, water, wine, chips and beer but I never know.

About Stanislaw Luberda
Adobe Certified Instructor in Premiere Pro and After Effects. I’m a VFX and motion graphic artist in post, and Cinematographer in production while living in Milwaukee WI. Stanislaw specializes in realtime video generation, video mapping, and realtime content generation.
I currently Offer training through my own site and training partners, as well as freelance cinematography and VFX for clients.
I’ve spent the last 3 years professionally instructing the following for C2:
Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects,Adobe Speedgrade Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Video for Social Media, Video Production Bootcamp, Logic Pro, Apple Compressor, iMovie among others.
Additionally I instruct part time at Madison Area Technical College in Madison WI. Along with Emmalee Pearson, I have developed a Movie maker bootcamp for teens who are interested in creating films.
