Event description

Description

This one-hour long workshop will be thought provoking, engaging and a fun experience for adventurous participants.

Our conversation will be an introduction of the following:

  • What is stress? How does it affect the body?
  • Better understand the connection between emotions, wellness and performance
  • How can you improve and measure wellbeing?

A few topics/activities that may arise during our time:

  • Resilience is a muscle that can be strengthened through self-regulation techniques.
  • Emotions fall into one of two categories: renewing and depleting. One promotes system health and performance while the other inhibits system health and performance.
  • The Heart is more than just a blood pump. As the biggest oscillator in the body, it entrains all biological systems (even cells) and its rhythms can be measured up to five feet beyond the body. The opitmal frequency of Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is 0.10 Hz.
  • A biofeedback demonstration showing how resonant breathing and emotion affects Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and physiological coherence. [1]
