Description

The Seattle Children's PlayGarden in partnership with Public Health- Seattle & King County Best Start for Kids Initiative is pleased to announce the dissemination of our Inclusion Toolkit and introductory and advanced inclusion workshop series titled: Say "Yes" to Kids with Disabilities.

About the our Inclusion Toolkit and workshop series: In the fifteen years since the PlayGarden was founded, the PlayGarden has been learning about the experiences of families of children with and without disabilities in our community. We have compiled their stories, experiences and lessons in the form of an inclusion toolkit. The purpose of the toolkit is to help youth-serving organizations and community spaces such as parks, gardens, museums, zoos, and even the ballpark become more inclusive of children and families of children with disabilities.

To bring the toolkit to life, we are offering a FREE 4-hour interactive workshop that will prepare people working in youth-programming as program directors, administrators and educators with the skills and techniques essential to creating spaces where all kids are welcome, panned for and supported.

This workshop will be lead and facilitated by the Seattle Children's PlayGarden's Executive Director and Founder, Liz Bullard and Inclusive Programs Director, Hannah Gallagher. After you register the event organizers will send you an email with a short questionaire that will help us design the workshop with your specific organizational needs and questions in mind.
