Tools and Resources for Women and Minority-Owned Businesses., is a a business education event that is scheduled on Thursday, December 15.  Lafayette Economic Development Authority will host this event with special guests Lafayette Airport Commission, Louisiana Department of Transportation, Louisiana Economic Development, Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, One Acadiana, Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Center, Southern Region Minority Supplier Development Center, and Women's Business Enterprise Council South.  Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise is the venue sponsor.  

This event is scheduled on Thursday, December 15 at LITE, located at 537 Cajundome Blvd.  This program is the third in a series of events. The first two events are scheduled on Thursday, December 8 and Saturday, December 10 at the Clifton Chenier Center and will focus strictly on the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program.   

This program, scheduled on December 15, is designed for women-owned, minority-owned, and ethnic-owned businesses to learn about resources and programs that could contribute to business growth. Learn about national programs, their benefits, and the steps to receive certification.  Business will also learn about local services and resources that can benefit businesses of all sizes.   

The program will include information about Small Business Loan Guarantee Program, Enterprise Zone, Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) certification, Minority Business Enterprise ( MBE) Certification, Louisiana's Contractors Accreditation Program, Bonding Assistance Program, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program, in addition to other programs and resources to assist businesses of any size. There will also be status update on the Lafayette Regional Airport project for business hoping to work on the project.  

Business owners, operators, and/or managers will benefit by attending this event, especially those focused on the strategy and growth of the company.
