TMC is starting off the 2017 season with a bang, featuring three local food producers, a field trip, and an exclusive dinner opportunity!
We’ll be starting TMC at Wild Goose Creative where we'll meet Doc and Brian & Mike of Cajohns and OH! Chips, respectively. The duo will demo salsas, sauces and chips as well as tastes of the same and offer up some insider’s Q&A for us. Then, we are walking up a few store fronts to Baba’s where we’ll meet Caroline and Dan after the restaurant is closed to the public. Dan is going to take Cajohns and OH! Chips and create a tasting for us with Baba’s special touch to feature their culinary flare.
Baba’s is offering an exclusive, limited number of a pre-fix menu option for TMCers. You can purchase the $10 dinner option with your TMC ticket, and if any remain, we will offer them at the event. You can keep the party going and had back to Wild Goose and hang with us there while you enjoy dinner, or take it to go! CaJohns and OH! Chips will also have their wares for sale.
As always at TMC, you’ll save over $2 by pre-purchasing your spot and the event is, of course, BYOB.
Doc Cordray, CaJohns Fiery Foods- CaJohn’s line of specialty food products totals over 150 offerings. CaJohn processes fresh, and mostly locally grown chiles to use in their products, which is one reason why they’ve won over 200 awards for their sauces, rubs, and salsas. Doc will be talking about the CaJohns difference as we sample around 4 of their best-selling salsas.
Brian Thornton & Michael Lauletta, OH! Chips- Professionally trained chef Brian Thornton launched the OH! Burgers Food truck in 2012. He quickly found customers were crazy about his freshly made chips so, he started another company to feed the fans. Specializing in hand-crafted chips, OH! Chips is Columbus, Ohio’s original artisan potato chip. Always made fresh, OH! Chips are sliced, fried and seasoned to perfection in Franklinton. We are going to see first-hand how OH! Chips makes their incredible tortilla chips and then, dip them in some CaJohns salsas, naturally.
Dan & Caroline Kraus, Baba’s- Baba’s is the newest addition to the SoHud neighborhood and just steps away from Wild Goose Creative. Baba's was born from That Food Truck and founded with a rebellious spirit and a sentimental objective to bridge local harvest with modern distribution. Starting with whole, locally raised animals, fresh produce, near famous griddle muffins, and local Thunderkiss Coffee, Baba’s is taking the breakfast sandwich, grilled cheese, pot of soup, and pretty much anything that graces their menu to the next level.
