What is Tone
Tone is a festival and platform for smaller producers and djs to perform and express themselves in the beautiful city of Chicago
Alcoholic beverages will be served to those with government issued photo IDs. You must present your ID to a festival employee to get a 21+ wristband.
If you’re from Chicago, you understand this weather. Tone Music Festival will take place, rain or shine, but if a storm approaches with dangerous conditions such as high winds, thunder, lightning, tornado, etc., your safety is our priority and we will take necessary precautions with no refunds.All advertised artists are confirmed to perform, but sometimes the weather does not permit travel to Chicago. Entry & Security
Everyone entering the festival grounds will be searched upon entry. You will need to empty your pockets, and have all your items examined. If you have a backpack or purse, security will examine that as well. Narcotics officers will be working inside and outside of the festival grounds. All narcotic laws will be strictly enforced. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone. Shoes my be taken off for search.
These Items are Prohibited
Alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia, Large chains, Massagers, Laser pointers, glowsticks, Spiked jewelry, Outside food or beverages, Open or refillable E-Cigs or vaporizers, flag poles or totems, coolers, lawnchairs, tents, Frisbees, large umbrellas, unsealed tampons, stickers, poi instruments, stuffed animals/dolls, professional cameras, GoPros, audio/video recording equipment, open cigarette packs, any illegal substance, marker pens, unauthorized solicitations, sampling or flyers of any kind, masks of any kind, musical instruments including whistles, cans/bottles/glass, animals (except service animals with proper documents), pacifiers, spray paint or aerosol cans of any kind, weapons of any kind, unsealed eye drop containers, unsealed/opened over the counter medications, unsealed/opened bottle of vitamins, unsealed/opened tampons, any other items deemed as posing a threat to the safe enjoyment of the concert by management, and bad attitudes.
These Items are Allowed
Sealed cigarette packs, Digital phone, point and shoot cameras, disposable cameras, fanny packs, empty camelbaks (you will be required to remove the pouch for inspection prior to entry), purses, European carry-alls, and average school-sized backpacks (keep in mind the more stuff you bring, the longer everyone will wait in line), blankets, hoolahoops, flags, sunglasses, hats, lighters, sun block, lip gloss, binoculars, and positive attitudes.
Shoes may be taken off for search and ALL items and bags will be searched upon entry.
Zero Tolderance for Drug Use And/Or Possession
Possessing or using any illegal substances outside or inside of the venue will not be tolerated. Narcotics officers, security, and staff will be working in and around the venue enforcing all drug-related laws. Violators in possession of illegal substances will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If you’re appear to be intoxicated at the entrance of the festival, security will not allow you to enter the venue. Event personal reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone.

Every attendee, including members of the media, vendors, and guests, must be prepared to be searched prior to entering the event. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to submit to a extensive search, including a full pat down, emptying pockets and bags, having your items examined and possibly removing your shoes. Narcotics officers and police will be working inside and outside of the event.

Safety, Medical & Hydration
The safety of every fan, artist, and staff member is our top priority. Professional media staff and security will be present throughout the duration of the event. If you, a friend, or another attendee need any assistance, please look for for Medical tents or seek out a staff member.
Weather in Chicago can be tricky, but when you’re moving and dancing for many hours, staying hydrated is absolutely necessary. There are free water fountains located throughout the festival grounds. Please remember to drink water in intervals throughout the day and take period breaks, especially in hot weather.
The Dream Team will also be present at the fest. This team of your peers is solely dedicated to the safety, wellness and memorable experience of every attendee. They will have a direct line to medical and safety staff and will have Free Water for anyone that needs it. They will be brightly marked and visible. Please do not hesitate to approach them if you see someone who is in need of attention.
We’re all responsible for everyone’s well-being. Don’t forget to give back to the community and take care of one another.
Accessable Viewing Areas
Special designated platforms located throughout the festival grounds are reserved for people with disabilities throughout the venue. Companion seating will be available at designated platform locations. Please note, companion seating is limited and will be available at a first-come, first-served basis. Entrance & Egress
Special designated lanes for entrance and egress will be available at the festival. Special designated lanes will be clearly identified for the convenience of our disabled patrons.
Accessible portable restrooms are available throughout the venue.
Please note, TMF does not provide personal care assistance, wheelchair push service, or mobility devices for rent so please plan accordingly.
Tone is an 17+ festival. Everyone will be required to show a government issued ID upon entry. VIP Section is 21+ only.
