Tom Blomfield is the CEO and Co-Founder of GoCardless, a new online payments solution which allows users to pay straight from their bank accounts. Previously he has completed a post-graduate degree in Law at the University of Oxford and founded Boso, a site for buying and selling stuff. Tom will be speaking about his experiences with the Y Combinator accelerator programme, how he pivoted GrouPAY to become GoCardless and moving a startup back to London from San Francisco.
Matt Cynamon is the London Programming Producer for General Assembly. Born in America, Matt arrived in the UK at the start of the year to set up General Assembly's first campus outside of the US. He's a serial startup founder and world record holder. Matt will tell colourful stories about how he got to where he is, his past and previous experiences and pass on charm, advice and wisdom.
Laura Kalbag is a designer easily excited by web design and development. Among her list of ever-changing pet subjects are mobile web, semantic web, web fonts and design theory, but she's really fascinated by anything in the areas of web, mobile and design. Laura has been a freelancer for the whole of her professional life. She revels in working with small and meaningful clients, creating websites, apps, icons, illustrations and the odd logo.
