Overview

Join us for an online workshop to learn practical futures skills for exploring long-term possibilities and shaping sustainable futures.

You are invited to Tomorrow’s University: Intro to Regenerative Futures, an online workshop introducing how futures thinking, practical foresight tools, and regenerative mindsets can help drive local, sustainable change.

Through a short webinar and guided collaborative activities, we will explore the key trends shaping our world, consider what sustainable systems change might look like, and imagine how these futures could be brought to life by local communities. The session is open to all and provides a supportive space to learn, reflect, and contribute.

This is a standalone event, but it is designed to complement the Tomorrow’s University Futures Café. We recommend that participants also join the follow-on, in-person Futures Café session to build on the skills and insights introduced in this online workshop.

Who Should Attend?

This event is for anyone interested in the future of education, sustainability, and community-led change.

We welcome participation from:

  • Citizens who want to help shape the region's futures
  • Students and staff from higher education institutions
  • Local government and public-sector representatives
  • Community groups, social enterprises, and civil-society organisations
  • Private-sector and industry partners

Your lived experience, willingness to explore, and curiosity are the most valuable contributions you can bring.

What Will We Do Together?

No prior experience with futures or sustainability is required.

Across this two-hour online session, you will:

  • Learn the basics of futures thinking and foresight
  • Explore regenerative approaches to sustainable development
  • Participate in a collaborative futures exercise to map trends, explore systems change, and imagine local, sustainable future scenarios.

This format ensures the workshop is accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all participants.
