Tomorrow is now: Prototyping City-Logistics
Wed 29 March 2017, 18:30 – 21:30 CEST
City-Logistics is the backbone of the internet-delivery boom. And it is one of the underestimated areas of change for environmental improvement and establishing new social contracts in times where discussion about a global precariat is getting more relevant.
The future will be the shift from cars to bike-and train-delivery systems and responsible social contracts for riders. We can observe a clear trend of multinational companies that start changing and taking ownership of the “last-mile” in their delivery-logistic.
The missing links between the current reality in city-logistics and the already existing solutions of social entrepreneurs are:
- Money is stabilizing the status quo and not yet flowing into these new existing solutions.
- The unawareness of our power as citizens to decide under which social and environmental conditions goods are delivered to us.
WHO IS IT FOR
In order to raise awareness with citizens, experts, decision makers, investors and supporters, prototype new interventions and gain experiences, we invite representatives of all these groups who are interested in the future of logistics, transport and energy to join this event.
