The acclaimed classical dance company returns to TurnPark Art Space for one night only!
About this event
Tom Gold Dance, the New York City-based and internationally acclaimed classical dance company founded and led by former New York City Ballet soloist Tom Gold, returns to TurnPark Art Space for one night only with a new program that will include Gold's Intimacies and Visions Fugitives, a World Premiere tribute to the artists of Ukraine.
Although last year's appearance at TurnPark marked the Company's formal return to in-person programming, Tom Gold Dance has regularly visited the Berkshires during the past two years, not only to perform, but also to create work and rehearse while many studios in New York City remained closed. The Company is thrilled to continue to develop its presence in the area, and to be inspired once more by the natural beauty and energy of the Park.
There will be a post-performance discussion with Tom Gold and the dancers.
Complimentary beverage included with ticket purchase.
Children 12 and under admitted free if accompanied by an adult ticket holder
The rain date for this performance is Thursday, June 23 at 6:00PM.
About Tom Gold Dance
The mission of Tom Gold Dance is to bring the past, present, and future of classical dance to audiences in New York and around the world. Founded in 2008 by former New York City Ballet soloist Tom Gold, Tom Gold Dance aspires to the highest level of artistry expressed through a traditional classical dance vocabulary, including in nearly two dozen original works by Gold, envisioned for and set directly on Company dancers, among the world’s most accomplished. In New York, Tom Gold Dance annually self-produces spring and, since 2018, fall seasons; the Company has also visited more than half a dozen countries, including Bulgaria, Cuba, Italy, and Spain. Recent artistic highlights include appearances at TurnPark Art Space in the Berkshires, as well as at The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, the Church of the Heavenly Rest, and Untermyer Park and Gardens. The Company participated in the 39th Annual Battery Dance Festival in 2020. In 2021, Tom Gold Dance partnered with Riverhead Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House, to create a series of dance-based promotional videos. Learn more at tomgolddance.org
