Description

The St. Louis Park Historical Society Presents:

An Evening with St. Louis Park Native Tom Friedman

In Support of the Society's Capital Fund Drive for a History Center

Sunday evening, April 30, 2017

At the Sabes Jewish Community Center Theater, 4330 S. Cedar Lake Road

Join our well-read (He's won three Pulitzer Prizes) and well-traveled (long time New York Times foreign correspondent and columinst) 'native son' as he is interviewed by long time fellow journalist and Park native Susan Linnee (Associated Press reporter and Bureau Chief in the U.S., Africa and Spain) on his thoughts about growing up in the "Greater St. Louis Park" community and how that shaped and continues to shape his world view. (For a preview, read pages 358-453 of Tom's current book, Thank You for Being Late: An Optimist's Guide to Thirving in the Age of Accelerations).

And (as luck would have it) April 30th marks the 100th day of Donald Trump's Presidency, and Tom's certain to have some views he'd like to share with the hometown crowd at that historical milestone.
