Tolkien Reading Day ‘Hope and Courage’ – Morning
Event Information
About this Event
We are currently facing unprecedented challenges and threats on a day to day basis. In this time we look for hope that the pandemic will pass and the courage to see it through. Tolkien’s characters embody these virtues time and again and now more than ever we need to ask ourselves what Tolkien means to us and how his words can inspire us to see through these dark days.
Follow and interact with the Tolkien Society and the Centre for Fantasy and Fantastic as we share readings of Tolkien’s works, reactions to his stories and daring character, real-life stories of courageous feats and reflections on how Tolkien has impacted his reader’s lives. This free live event offers the Tolkien community a chance to reflect and share what Tolkien means to them and how his words and characters have inspired hope and courage.
