Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Tokens is a comedic web series directed by Benjamin Welmond, written and produced by Troy Dangerfield. It's about two African-American friends who continually find themselves playing the role of the "Token black guy" as they begin an epic journey to fill a cultural void and find a community that truly accepts them.

In today's society, it is becoming increasingly important for men and women of color to own their story. In owning who we are and validating our experiences we can begin to truly control our own destiny as a people. This is a showcase of one of those stories and a chance to premiere the series to a hometown crowd. Through the series "Tokens" we will continue a conversation about identity, diversity, and modern day tokenism in America.

Please join us for a ton of laughs and some new perspectives.
