Together Digital | She Rocks, Conscious Inclusion: More Than a Conversation
Event Information
About this Event
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
“Without community, there is no liberation…but community must not mean a shedding of our differences, nor the pathetic pretense that these differences do not exist.” - Audre Lorde
You don’t need a leadership title to show up as a leader. Great leaders and allies share a few things in common - they are people-oriented, great listers, able to tap into the talents and motivations of their team, and most importantly, they use their power to advocate and take action for groups that don’t have a seat at the table.
Inclusion is at the heart of great leadership; without conscious inclusion, we often unconsciously exclude others.
This session will bring best practices and have a candid conversation about the journey of individual leaders and the challenges and opportunities to making an investment in authentically cultivating yourself – grounded in inclusion.
Black History Month
Since this conversation falls during Black History Month, we'll also dive into the importance of focusing explicitly (not exclusively) on race-equity in our organizations and communities. Ahead our conversation on Feb 12, we're sharing a few resources to make the most of Black History Month - and step into the experiences of Black women and build greater empathy.
