Join us on July 25th as we partner with TechNexus to bring forth the women thought leaders on Blockchain in Chicago for a dynamic conversation of what this technology is (and what it isn't), applications for your day-to-day and answers of what is next for Chicago's Blockchain community.

Guest Speakers:

Marla Gamze is the co-founder of Kaltja International, a global organization that creates and maintains sustainable parametric ecosystems that encompass energy, agriculture, water, secure food supplies, and trade – strengthening economic development and financial inclusion in underserved, rural and Indigenous communities. Marla oversees the use of Kaltja’s blockchain and IoT to record, track, and verify trades of all kinds that hold value, including commodities, goods, energy, fuel, water, and communications. Marla has experience in tech and project management, communications, and marketing in energy and philanthropic industries and is a board advisor to BioEnergy Corporation, a nanotechnology company that reclaims natural resources to provide sustainable global solutions. Master’s in Tech Management, Georgetown, University, Washington, D.C.

Karrie Sullivan After more than 20 years of driving revenue growth in Marketing/Sales, Strategy, IT, and Operations roles Karrie Sullivan is great at driving profitable change. As a transformational leader and entrepreneur in residence she is a “fixer” and operator who is expert at helping companies turn oceans of data into EBITDA, growth, and future-proof plans. Karrie and her team work with mid-market, enterprise, and PE portfolio companies that need to quickly understand their data assets, integrate data and process across functions, and create data-driven innovation.

Lexy Prodromos received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Science from Pepperdine University. She also holds a certificate in conflict management from Pepperdine Law School’s number 1 ranked Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution. She also received a Master of Science in Information Systems from Northwestern University.
Alexandra was one of the primary initiators of the Illinois Blockchain Initiative, a state of Illinois consortium dedicated to furthering blockchain development in Illinois, and worked as the only non- government affiliated member of the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology's Blockchain Working Group. In 2016, she joined Bloq, Inc a leading enterprise grade blockchain software and services provider, as Business Development Manager.
She was appointed as the Executive Director of the new Chicago Blockchain Center, a public-private non-profit partnership that serves as a leading educational resource and startup incubator of blockchain focused companies in the Chicago/Illinois tech ecosystem. She is a regularly invited speaker in Chicago and internationally on the subject of blockchain and distributed ledger technology.
