Event description

Description

The first Saturday of September, we are celebrating our reopening by having three of our family programs on one day: Itty Bitty Art, Toddler Studio, and our brand new Family Workshop. All three of these programs will only be available to Carter Members. If you are not currently a member of the museum, please join here.

Toddler Studio is a monthly program where toddlers, ages two to three years old, and their favorite grown-up can explore artworks in the Carter together. Using multiple ways to play, all connected to a work of art, families can learn about art by exploring, playing, reading, and creating a work of art to take home.

This month, toddlers and grown-ups will learn about The Hunter’s Return by Thomas Cole. This landscape painting in the Carter’s collection will set us on an adventure to explore other landscape paintings, read books about the great outdoors, and participate in several nature-inspired activities.

Toddler Studio is come and go between 10 a.m.–noon. Dress for comfort!

Registration for this program opens August 15. Max 2 adults per child, no siblings.

This session is only available for Carter Members.
