"A captivating improviser, imaginative composer, and master of collaboration." -
San Francisco Chronicle

Bassist/composer Todd Sickafoose’s band is a marvel of musical cross-breeding, pairing indie rock muscle and whimsy with the extended forms, timbres, and sophistication of a jazz orchestra. "Tiny Resistors" (Cryptogramophone) has been called "thoroughly original, endlessly creative...one of the year's most compelling listens" (JazzTimes) and "stunningly brilliant...a modern jazz masterpiece" (Bassplayer). Known for genre-bending collaborations, Sickafoose toured and recorded with Ani DiFranco for the last 9 years, playing everywhere from punk clubs to Carnegie Hall, in addition to extensive music-making with Andrew Bird, Jenny Scheinman, Nels Cline, Allison Miller and many others. Tonight's Tiny Resistors have performed with musicians from all over the stylistic map - from Dr. Lonnie Smith, Tin Hat, and Vince Giordano to Sufjan Stevens, Citizen Cope and Rosanne Cash. Featuring Ben Goldberg (clarinets), Rob Reich (accordion), Matthew Szemela (violin), Erik Deutsch (piano) and Sickafoose's long-time rhythm section partner Allison Miller (drums & percussion).
