ALLISON MILLER - drums
TODD SICKAFOOSE - bass

Bassist/composer Todd Sickafoose’s band is a marvel of musical cross-breeding, pairing indie rock muscle and whimsy with the extended forms, timbres, and sophistication of a jazz orchestra. "Tiny Resistors" (Cryptogramophone) has been called "thoroughly original, endlessly creative...one of the year's most compelling listens" (JazzTimes) and "stunningly brilliant...a modern jazz masterpiece" (Bassplayer). Known for genre-bending collaborations, Sickafoose toured and recorded with Ani DiFranco for the last 10 years, playing everywhere from punk clubs to Carnegie Hall, in addition to extensive music-making with Andrew Bird, Jenny Scheinman, Nels Cline, Allison Miller and many others. Tonight's Tiny Resistors have performed with musicians from all over the stylistic map - from Bill Frisell, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Tin Hat to Lucinda Williams, Lou Reed and Norah Jones. Featuring Ben Goldberg (clarinets), Jenny Scheinman (violin), Rob Reich (accordion & guitar), Adam Levy (guitar) and Sickafoose's long-time rhythm section partner Allison Miller (drums).
