Toastmasters District 30 South Division Club Officer Winter Training
Sat, January 21, 2017, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM CST
For those club officers in Toastmasters Clubs in the South Division of Chicagoland District 30 of Toastmasters International, there are two required training sessions during the Toastmaster year. The summer training session called the Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) already occurred in June 2016; the second session of the TLI occurred in December 2016. For those who missed this opportunity, the South Division is putting on a makeup training session on Saturday, January 21st at the South Suburban College Oak Forest Center in Oak Forest, IL. NOTE: Toastmasters International has changed the format of the club officer training session. Each club officer is required to attend three separate training sessions: the first one on how to build an effective team (from 10:00 to 10:50 AM), the second one on how to perform your role as a club officer (from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM), and the third one on working together with your Area Director and the other clubs in your Area (from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM) to make sure that your club's needs are being met. You must register for ALL THREE sessions in order to get credit for having completed the second round of club officer training! These training sessions are designed to give you not just the information, but the networking contacts you will need to face any challenge that your club may face in the coming six months ahead! REGISTRATION STARTS at 9:30; breakfast items will be served before the first session starts, and snacks as well as beverages will be provided during all the breaks.
