To Whom Does the Black Vote Matter
Date and time
The GMUL Guild invites you to join members of the community for a very important conversation about the current state of politics.
About this event
The Greater Milwaukee Urban League Guild is hosting a community forum "To Whom Does the Black Vote Matter?" as a part of this busy election cycle to talk to the two primary political parties in WI.
As you are aware the mid-term elections are partisan races. There are also several non-partisan races that will potentially have some level partisan influence. We would like to have an open and honest dialogue of what the plans are for each party, the origin of these plans, and the intended benefit to the Black community.
Leaders representing the two major parties in WI have been invited to participate in a panel discussion. Candidates from local races are invited to a reception prior to the forum where they will be able to speak with constituents and share literature about their races. The objective is to engage, inform and empower members of our community to remain active throughout the electoral process.
