TO SERVE AND PROTECT: LAW ENFORCEMENT'S EFFORTS TO CURB THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC

DESCRIPTION:
The Indiana State Department of Health is hosting a live webcast on the opioid epidemic from a law enforcement perspective. The webcast will discuss how the criminal justice community in Indiana is tackling the epidemic, drug trends in Indiana and the use of tools, such as drug courts and Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) programs.


TARGET AUDIENCE: Local health departments; substance abuse counselors; social workers; peer recovery coaches; medical professionals; criminal justice professionals; coroners; law enforcecement officers; and more.
