Event Details

The stage adaptation of "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a truly special experience. Performed in the old courthouse, it allows attendees an opportunity to transport themselves back to the time of the book's setting. 

2pm Performance

Performances begin at 2:00pm and seating begins at 1:30pm.

7pm Performance

Performances begin at 7:00pm and seating begins at 6:30pm.

The play lasts approximately 2 hours and has two acts, one outside and one inside. In the event of inclement weather, an abbreviated version of Act I will take place inside, along with the full version of Act II .

Is there assigned seating?

All tickets, other than VIP, are general admission, and other than the front row, which is reserved for VIPs, seating is open.

What is the difference between General Admission and VIP tickets?

VIP ticketholders will include reserved front row seating, a catered dinner at the Prop & Gavel directly across the street from the courthouse, and souvenir lanyards. To be able to accommodate all VIPs, the VIP ticket will be unavailable 24 hours before each performance.

What are the details of the dinner at Prop & Gavel?

The dinner will be made by a visiting chef, Jon Gibson. Jon is head chef and co-owner of the Wheelhouse Restaurant in Opp, Alabama. 

Chef Gibson is an award winning Chef, entrepreneur, TV personality and World Food Championship competitor and is Executive Chef of one of south Alabama’s premiere restaurants located in Opp, AL. He has been seen on Food Network's “Beach Eats” with Curtis Stone and the Cooking Channel's “Beach Bites” with Katie Lee, as well as several appearances performing cooking demonstrations on national and local TV. Chef Gibson’s passion and aggressive approach regarding cooking, food preparation, sustainability and protection of our coastal waters and environment has earned him the nickname “Guerrilla Chef.”

What can I bring into the event?

No cameras or filming of any kind. Also, please do not bring any large handbags, as seating is tight. 

What's the refund policy?

No refunds will be given, but tickets may be turned in for a donation to the Mockingbird Company, if not used.
