Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Tech Networks of Boston hosts roundtables every other Friday afternoon. These are informal discussions and presentations, on a wide range of topics of interest to TNB's staff, clients, and friends. We hope that you will join us for this session!

In the nonprofit sector, we often don't think about turning to professional librarians when we are wrestling with information technology and knowledge management challenges.  However, librarians have skills and experience in using knowledge in the public interest, and we ought to regard them as allies.

Rachael Stark, our featured guest at this TNB Roundtable session, is not merely a professional reference librarian; she is also certified in human/computer interaction, and has a background in community organizing, social work, and cultural anthropology.  She's exactly the sort of calm, optimistic, and reasonable expert that can help any nonprofit professional turn data and information into accessible organizational knowledge. In this session, she'll give us an overview of how professional librarians can be surprisingly powerful allies for your nonprofit organization.

Best regards from Deborah
