Event Details

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Tech Networks of Boston (TNB) hosts roundtables every other Friday afternoon. These are informal discussions and presentations, on a wide range of topics of interest to TNB's staff, nonprofit clients, and friends.

Our model for supporting nonprofits is "collaborative technology management," and our slogan is "we're better together" - so the topic of our March 14th Roundtable session is especially appropriate!

Our featured speaker on the topic of "Models for Nonprofit Backroom Collaborations" will be Tom McLaughlin.  Here's a bit more about him:

Tom McLaughlin is on the faculty at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University where he teaches financial management and strategic management to mission-based management MBA and international development students.   He is a contributing editor for the Nonprofit Times, for which he writes a monthly column.  He was the first Nonprofit Scholar in Residence at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.  Tom is also a member of the New England Aquarium’s Stranded Animal Emergency Response Team.

Tom formed McLaughlin & Associates in 2011 after nearly two decades as a nonprofit consulting specialist with two national accounting and consulting firms.  Tom has over 35 years of nonprofit experience as a nonprofit manager, trade association executive, and management consultant.

Tom is nationally recognized as an expert in nonprofit mergers and alliances, having consulted to nonprofits in over 200 such collaborations.  He is the author of "Nonprofit Mergers and Alliances: A Strategic Planning Guide," "Streetsmart Financial Basics for Nonprofit Managers," and "Nonprofit Strategic Positioning."

Please note that session will not be a sales pitch for any product or service. The TNB Roundtable series is an educational opportunity for nonprofit professionals to learn along with their peers from other organizations.

Participation in this Roundtable is free of charge for nonprofit professionals.  However, you must have an advance reservation to attend.  Please use the "YES" button to begin your registration.

We look forward to seeing you on July 25th!

Best regards from Deborah
