Description

This intensive three-day course introduces new users to the basic functionality of TMS. The focus is on cataloguing objects; tracking exhibition, loan, and shipping activities; linking media to records; searching the database; reporting on and exporting data, and more. This is a hands-on class; participants are provided with their own fully configured workstation to use during training.

 

Audience

This course is appropriate for all TMS users: registrars, curators, educators, archivists, support staff, and all who use TMS on a regular basis.

 

Prerequisites

This course assumes the student has little or no familiarity with TMS; however, experienced TMS users who wish to expand their understanding or learn additional functionality will also benefit.

 

Course Objectives

Provide a comprehensive introduction to TMS functionality and techniques. This class covers all new features in TMS 2012, 2014 and 2016.
