Overview

This program will focus specifically on the introduction, benefits, and use of art journaling as a tool in trauma recovery.  Art Journaling combines the elements of Journal Therapy with an added creative twist using everything from basic colored pencils to more advanced artistic tools.  Participants will receive information on the efficacy of combining these expressive approaches, and learn basic techniques such as how to create a healing art journal, how to combine writing and art, collage, mixed media, watercolors, and more! Participants will have multiple opportunities to engage in experiential activities and learn at least five techniques for immediate application with clients.
