Charli Turner Thorne is the winningest coach in Sun Devil women's basketball history and No. 3 in the Pac-12 with the most career wins (302). Turner Thorne has led the Arizona State University women’s basketball program to the postseason 13 of the last 14 years, including a school record five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2005-09). She was Pac-10 coach of the year in 2001.

As a player, she lettered four years at Stanford where she played under Tara VanDerveer. She graduated from Stanford in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and later earned her master's degree in education from Washington in 1990. She and her husband, Will, have three sons – Conor, 14; Liam, 12; and Quinn, 9.

She will enter the 2013-14 season, Turner Thorne's 17th at ASU, needing 11 wins to move into the No. 2 spot on the Pac-12's career wins list.
