PITCH YOUR STARTUP CONCEPT! WIN SCHOLARSHIPS. GET FUNDING.

Student-Entrepreneurs: It's time for you to crush it!

Clear your calendar - It's going down! The Titan Fast Pitch Competition kicks off Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at 1pm and you're invited! Students can come in at noon to the Tuffy Lawn next to the Titan Student Union to get some pizza and network with each other.

Come to compete with or watch the most innovative student-entrepreneurs vie for a spot on the winner's podium and their share of scholarships. All finalists are chosen in real time.

There are three divisions open to current studets, including: all university and college students, high school students, and middle school students. Competitors better be ready to pitch their concept because they will get multiple chances to pitch to our elite judges. During the first round, competitors will get multiple chances to pitch their concepts to our judges in a round robin style format.

Don't know how to make a pitch? We have put together a Titan Fast Pitch 101: How To Give A Winning Pitch resource post just for you!

Scores from the first free-for-all round will be tabulated on the spot with the best competitors moving on to the Lightning Round. The Lightning Round is an accelerated Q/A panel, administered by Distinguished Judges. (Don't worry, there is a link to the potential Lightning Round questions below.)

After all questions have been asked and pitches made our judges will determine who the winners will be. Winners will receive scholarships and exposure for their ideas and themselves.

Do you have what it takes?

The internship was sourced via a fully-employed banking executive who was teaching evening classes at CSUF. You can say Natalia owes much of her success to the foundation and professional contacts that CSUF provided her early on.

Dan Black

Dan Black

Entrepreneur and Dan Black Family Trust

Dan Black enrolled at CSUF in 1964 and took, without great intention, a freshman physics course. He credits this course — taught by future friend and mentor, the late Dr. Ray Adams — for influencing his decision to pursue a degree earned in 1967 and a career in physics.

Following graduation, Mr. Black worked in sales and marketing for EG&G, a firm that manufactured physics equipment. In 1973, he started his first company, Trace Analysis Laboratory, which he left a year later to launch MineraLab – later renamed Advanced Medical Nutrition, Inc. – that he sold in 1998. He then co-founded ProThera, a nutritional, supplemental company.

A proud Titan, Mr. Black has been an active supporter of future alumni, particularly in science and business, both by meeting with students and supporting student educational endeavors. In recognition of their contributions to the University and to students, Mr. Black and his wife, Kathy Chao Black, were honored with the naming of Cal State Fullerton’s Science Laboratory Center, “Dan Black Hall,” in 2006.
