Storm the Palace are the Edinburgh-based band of songwriter Sophie Dodds and multi-
instrumentalist Reuben Taylor (James Yorkstone, Meursault). They released their debut LP in 2017 to
critical acclaim; it was described by Scotland on Sunday as “one of the best albums of the year” and
by Folk Radio as “both challenging and inviting”. They have toured in the US, the UK and Ireland, but
this will be their time in the Highlands. They will be performing as a four-piece, with Sophie on vocals
and electric guitar, Reuben on accordion, Willa Bews on backing vocals and Jon Bews (Cantrip,
Shooglenifty) on backing vocals and fiddle. Expect atmospheric songs with imaginative lyrics and lush
harmonies.
