TINY LITTLE TOWN a musical A work-in-progress presentation of TMB's adaptation of Gogol's The Inspector General
About this event
TMB re-unites its multi-talented group of artists to launch a new adaptation of The Inspector General by Ukrainian playwright, Nikolai Gogol. TMB’s TINY LITTLE TOWN is set in1970’s small town America and becomes a hilarious and timely reflection on America, corruption, suspicion and coverup.
TMB has built it’s repertoire re-imagining classic texts with its unique mixture of text, movement, and dance. Over the past several shows, TMB co-founders, Kronis + Alger, have been collaborating with composer Wes Myers to add songs to their interdisciplinary productions, taking advantage of the many skills of its ensemble members and expanding the company’s unique approach to storytelling. As we emerge from the digital work carried on during the pandemic, we are thrilled to be now offering audiences the initial stages of our musical in process, TINY LITTLE TOWN.
We invite you to a special engagement of the work-in-progress, July 15-17 in Los Angeles, with a gathering to follow where we can have a drink and hear your thoughts. We value your feedback during this step in the project’s development.
