This is an informal drop-in, so feel free to come by any point during the times listed to grab a cup of tea or coffee and chat.

Do I Need to Register?

Just look for the Babies icon which is the Tuesday class. And yes! We are still having our signature Tinkergarten Classes for children ages 18m - 5 years old on Fridays. If you have older kiddos we hope you'll consider coming!

More About Our Classes:

Tinkergarten Babies classes are designed for babies who are 6-18 months. The classroom set up and play materials are designed to support development for babies in this age range, supporting babies at all stages of motor development. Babies are encouraged to explore the materials and engage with their peer group and a supportive circle of adults in the ways that fit them best each time they come to Tinkergarten.

Note: Babies do NOT need to be able to walk or crawl to participate. It is helpful if babies can sit up, but also not a requirement to participate.

More About Cindy:

Cindy holds a Masters of Education, Elementary with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. This will be Cindy's ninth season leading Tinkergarten Classes in Budd Lake, NJ. In addition to being a lover of nature based early childhood education, and all things natural and holistic, Cindy is a chidbirth educator, doula, La Leche League Leader, and even trains doulas, midwives, and other birth professionals. She teaches birth and breastfeeding classes at Mama Bird Center, and at Avalon Wellness Center in Morristown, and trains birth professionals throughout the country. Cindy exudes warmth, non-judgmental behavior, empathy, and passion for teaching. She lives in Budd Lake with her partner and their four children, ages 4 through 12. They are her muses, and she's excited to share the upcoming season with you and YOUR little muse.

More About Mama Bird Center:

We are very lucky to be able to meet at the brand new Mama Bird Center, located right in Chester, NJ - just 15 minutes away from Lou Nelson park where our Tinkergarten classes will be held. Mama Bird Center offers many classes and servics for pregnant folks, new parents, and little ones, including childbirth education, parent & child yoga classes, breastfeeding classes, massage therapy, somatic healing, and so much more. The center itself features comfortable couches, a childrens play area, a massage therapy room, a yoga studio, and a sweet little shopping area. In the fall they will be opening a drop-in childrens center. Tea and Coffee are available for free, and snacks can be purchased at many of the surrounding shops. We hope you love Mama Bird as much as we do!
