Remember last year’s Tea Tuesday, our Downton-era soiree at the Trust? It was a swell time, and sold out to boot! Well, we pos-i-lutely couldn’t resist a sequel, and it’s time to get a wiggle on and announce Tin Pan Tuesday, a nifty night of bathtub gin, bootleggers, and our very own blind tiger at the Trust’s Historical Society Museum.
So get your glad rags on and join us from 6:30-9:30pm at our very own juice joint, complete with a secret password, a Philadelphia jazz trio, Drew Nugent & The Midnight Society, and the roar of the 20s from floor to ceiling! Your ticket price includes beer and wine, chitterlings (hor d’ouevres of the period), and live entertainment. There will also be a cash bar featuring cocktails of the era.
Dressing in 20s fashion is encouraged! We’ll be puttin’ on the ritz, and we’ll also be puttin’ on the 20s via our very own York County Heritage Trust collections: check out the era in historic fashion with prohibition-era items pulled from our substantial collection!
Last but not least, York’s Bob Erdos, founder of Stomp Off Records, will display some of Stomp Off’s traditional jazz CD cover art and memorabilia.
So don’t be a cancelled stamp! You only need a few clams (and the secret password), and you’re in! The dance floor will be polished, and we’ll be ready to Charleston the night away—it’ll be jake! Don’t wait—there were disappointed folks who missed out on the fun last year; see you on the dance floor!
