Meet Our Speakers
Stephanie Brown, MS, MBA, PhD, JD, PMP
Stephanie Brown recently retired after having been an independent consulting project manager since 1968. Her work on projects has covered an unusually wide variety of industries including arts and education, manufacturing, construction, hospitality and tourism, law and government, energy, financial services and information technology. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she has been responsible for over 52 billion dollars in successful projects. Ms. Brown has managed global teams in over 60 countries.
Born and raised in Webster County Kentucky where she again resides she is currently VP of Professional Development of the PMI-Southwestern Indiana Chapter which supports professionals, businesses and organizations involved in managing projects in western Kentucky, southwestern Indiana and southern Illinois. As VP of Professional Development of the PMI, Southwestern Indiana Chapter (PMI-SWIC), she recently led a team of chapter PMPs in the creation of a new Mentorship Partners program to assist individuals in preparing for certification and area businesses and organizations new to project management concepts or without a certified PMP on staff in establishing project protocols for their organization.
Dr. Curtis A. Colleton, D.V.M., D.A.C.V.P., PMP
Dr. Colleton endeavors to direct and manage teams and programs in a “first in class” organization that is committed to maintaining a diverse international workforce while fostering “cutting edge” ideology and embracing ethical standards as it competes in a global marketplace. He has more than 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine to include clinical, applied and investigational research, anatomic, clinical and forensic veterinary pathology; receiving his DVM from Tuskegee Institute School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983 and his board certification from the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 1992. He has over 15 years of toxicological pathology experience and is a member of the Society of Toxicologic Pathology since 2005 where he serves on multiple committees and boards. Dr. Colleton has been certified as a project management professional by the Project Management Institute since 2007 where he has served on numerous committees and is presently the president of the Southwestern Indiana Chapter. He served over 13 years in the US Army Veterinary Corps where he received numerous awards and medals. Finally, he serves on the board of multiple non-profit organizations, is passionate about his family; teaching about and serving his God Jehovah; and loves beekeeping, golf, horticulture, catering and motivating people.
Jessica Soroky, CSM
After 5 years of non-profit development through Nellie’s Catwalk for Kids, Jessica continues her journey in leadership integrating and contributing in state government, not-for-profit, and private sector leadership studies. At 21 years old, Jessica is a certified ScrumMaster with over two years practice in agile delivery and team building.
