TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC is a new musical based on the multiple award-winning off-off-Broadway play by Lissa Moira.

TIME IT IS was first presented in 1999 at Theater For the New City, NYC’s Pulitzer Prize and multiple Obie Award winning premier venue for new works.

Set on the sex and drug drenched downtown gallery art scene of NYC circa 1983, TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC examines the nature of art, love, beauty, creativity, and the ability to recreate one’s self under the most horrendous of circumstances. It is as universal and personal as you can get.

With a mostly female creative team, TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC looks to challenge the current conceits of musical theatre to blast audiences into the future. Adaptation of TIME IT IS into a musical was begun in June 2018. With composer/lyricist Michael Maricondi and award-winning choreographer Emilee Lord, Lissa Moira will direct a workshop production of this new musical in December of 2018 in preparation for a full showcase performance run in April, 2019.
