Canadian War Museum Historian Tim Cook talk and book signing for The Secret History of Soldiers: How Canadians Survived the Great War.

About this Event

Canadian War Museum Historian Tim Cook makes a return visit to our branch to talk about his latest book, The Secret History of Soldiers: How Canadians Survived the Great War. The latest in a series of highly acclaimed works written in the past five years, Cook will talk about the culture of the trench and how it helped soldiers cope with the impossible strains of war in 1914-1918.

We have ordered extra copies of The Secret History of Soldiers for this event and Tim will be happy to autograph them - just in time for that special Christmas gift for your favourite First World War friends!

Thanks to our partners at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, we will be meeting in "Alphie's Room". Lunch available and the bar will be open. Meet and greet at 9:30, speaker starts at 10:30.
