Event description

Description

We invite you to join friends and members of the Kadima Reconstructionist Community on Saturday
evening, Jan. 20, to celebrate and honor an individual and/or an organization in the Pacific Northwest
who are leading forces in tikkun olam – repairing the world through systemic change.

As we all navigate these times of tense political and social upheaval, it’s more critical than ever to publicly and strongly support those who are pushing back and educating against sexism, racism, Islamophobia and homophobia and for a universal belief that Black Lives Matter. It’s more urgent than ever to encourage and honor those who advocate for health care as a human right, who provide sanctuary and stand up for immigrants and workers or who lead efforts to protect and preserve access to clear water, clean air and safe land.

Please join us [one year to the day from the presidential inaugural] as we shine a light on an extraordinary
person and their work in our communities of Seattle, the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Proceeds from the dinner will support the awardees’ work and serve as a major source of funding for Kadima’s year-round activities for social justice, sanctuary, education and religious freedom.

Want to support Kadima and tikkun olam in the Pacific Northwest but are unable to come Jan. 20? Buy a ticket for one or more Kadima teachers or staff or make a donation of any amount.

To purchase an ad in the Kadima Tikkun Olam Awards Ceremony program; see our website for more details: http://www.kadima.org/tikkunolam.html
