Event description

Description

Public ticket launch is Sunday, March 15, at 6:00 PM PDT!

Now in its 17th year, Tiki Kon is a weekend conference/party celebrating exotic tropical destinations and the Tiki bars, cocktails, art, music and fashions they inspire.

Tiki Kon gets its inspiration from the highly-stylized Polynesian-themed restaurants and lounges that were popular in the decades after World War II. Those Tiki temples ushered in a whole genre of art, fashion, architecture, music and mixology that swept the nation. It was the era of the Tiki Bar.

The 2020 theme, Eye of the Tiki, is a look at where Tiki has been and where it's going. Tiki is a genre that continues to evolve stylistically, just as it has since its origins. Looking back we can identify each decade by how it was shaped by the artists, designers, bartenders, and other influencers of the day. Now 2020 starts a new decade for the Tiki Revival, and Eye of the Tiki is staring it down, wondering what's next. How will we remember this post-revival era in another 20...30...40 years? How will it evolve, what will make it distinctive, and who will be the influencers?

Service Fees

We really hate add-on service fees when buying tickets. Tiki Kon absorbs all ticket processing fees and does not add them on to the purchase price. However, there may be a service charge for refunds and transfers, to cover our cost for these non-refundable Eventbrite fees. It sucks, we know.

Refund Policy

Orders may be canceled within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. After that, a 6-8% service charge may apply to refunds to cover our non-refundable Eventbrite fees. All orders are non-refundable after 7/24/2020 at 10:00 a.m.

Transfer Policy

Weekend passes may be transferred to another guest or pass type depending on availabiilty. There is no charge for transfers, but you will be charged any difference in price. If you downgrade your ticket, you will be refunded the difference in price. Eventbrite fees may not be refundable (lame!).

Waitlist

When Super or Deluxe Weekend Passes sell out, you may sign up for the waitlist by registering for free WAITLIST tickets. These are not valid for admission, but you will be notified if passes become available due to cancellations. Waitlists are not available for Standard Weekend Passes, so check back periodically to see if any of these passes have become available.

Buying Tickets for Others

If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of other attendees, they are considered your guests, and you assume all responsibility for sharing our terms and conditions with them. You are also agreeing to those terms on their behalf. If you do not provide a name and email address for each of your guests during checkout, you are also responsible for sharing important event information with them that we send by email.

Add-On Tickets

Tickets to our premium classes, workshops, and parties go on sale May 15, at 6:00 PM PDT. These include the Hale Pele Mug Release Party, Rum Tasting Class with Martin Cate, and art workshops.

Merchandise Pre-Order

As part of the checkout process, you will have the opportunity to add official event mugs and posters to your order. These items may only be picked up in person by the buyer. Photo ID is required.

If you are buying tickets for other guests, you assume all responsibility for sharing those agreements with those guests, and you are agreeing to them on their behalf. Review the attendee agreement.
